New
Dimensions Participants
The
New Dimensions In Community Education Program has
flourished into 6 formats:
New Dimensions in Deliquency Prevention
New Dimensions in Family Empowerment
New Dimensions in Neighborhood Empowerment
New Dimensions in Improving Community Control
New Dimensions in Rights of Passage
New Dimensions
in Out of School Time
Each Format combines "best practices" in the field
of prevention, intervention and reading enhancement
with our cultural curriculum: daily pledge and song,
the "Olde Fashioned Manners" model, completion of an
Afrocentricity Workbook, reading of classic
literature, African Drumming & Dancing lessons, and
the culmination each term with the Annual Showcase,
which is produced, performed and choreographed by
youth.
